Helen Mirren is 69, absolutely gorgeous and she’s the new face of L’Oreal Paris. Dame Helen, as we all know, is looking better than ever as she approaches 70, and her new job as a spokes model only goes to prove that the actress is someone who gets better with age. She’s partnered with the famed skincare line to make the point that beauty knows no age (and we only hope we look half as good as Dame Helen when we’re her age).
What’s even more remarkable about the ad campaign that the company shot is that they didn’t use any enhancements on Mirren’s photos. They’re untouched by photo shop or any other retouching. They’re simply photos of Mirren in a black suit, L’Oreal makeup and her natural, ageless beauty. In the ad photos, she looks young, gorgeous and fresh, and she’s barely wearing any makeup.
“I don’t really know what a beauty routine is. But I love beauty products, and I’m always trying new ones,” says the star of her secret to her ageless beauty. I guess that just goes to show that some people are just born beautiful and it sticks with them for their entire life. “I have always loved the L’Oreal Paris brand, and I am truly delighted to become an ambassador and join such an impressive group of high-achievers. I am not gorgeous, I never was, but I was always OK-looking and I’m keen to stay that way,” she modestly says of her new role.
Modesty is flattering, but we think it’s safe to say Mirren is slightly better than “OK-looking,” and we think the photos of her in next to no makeup and no photoshop only prove our point that she’s a gorgeous, ageless beauty.
