THIS modern masterpiece is the latest in a string of luxury homes to grace the flying Essendon market.
The new house at 206 Napier St took 18 months to construct, and was built by a vendor who works in the “stone and marble business”, according to Alexkarbon director Alex Puglia.
His influence was evident in the “several $100,000s of marble” adorning the residence.
The four-bedroom, five-bathroom house is being sold privately, with a $4.1-$4.5 million price guide.

It offers about 780sq m of internal space across three levels, on a low maintenance 570sq m block.
The fully-automated abode has soaring 3.6m high ceilings, a Miele kitchen, bespoke pool and a brilliant basement with a cellar, gym, home cinema with a wet bar, bathroom with a sauna and six-car garage with a turntable.
Mr Puglia said Essendon’s first sale above $4 million — 18 Riverview Rd’s $4.2 million deal in August 2016 — “seemed to open the floodgates” for sellers listing high calibre homes.
The suburb’s house price record has been broken three times in the past eight months, reflecting its booming prestige market.
The benchmark now sits at about $8 million, following the landmark sale of a 1930s Tudor-style mansion on 2168sq m of land at 41 Leslie Rd earlier this month.
