Donald, 32, is nearly 300 pounds of muscle and moves faster than most men who play DT. Last year wasn't his best, but this blitz proves he's back to an elite level.
The three-time Defensive Player of the Year can be seen starting the play on the left side and then using the offensive linemen to hide for a split second before launching full speed from the right side at Smith, who manages to quickly release the ball for an incomplete pass.
Donald only recorded half-a-sack, two tackles and two tackle assists, but had plenty of plays like this blitz all game long, pressuring Smith to throw for just 112 yards and a touchdown on 26-for-26 completed passes.
Matthew Stafford can't connect with his young receiverss
Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford finished the contest with 334 passing yards on 24-for-38 completions, but failed to throw a touchdown pass.
His young receivers, Puka Nacua and Tutu Atwell, each had 119 receiving yards on a respective 10 and six catches.
In the red zone, however, it was running backs Kyren Williams (2) and Cam Akers (1) who scored the touchdowns.
Stafford's wife recently went viral for stating her husband could not relate to the young receivers and it's now more evident than before. Rams host the San Francisco 49ers next Sunday in hopes of starting a winning streak.
